Finally completed this animation after facing a few challenges. I made an early animation mistake that turned what should have been a pretty simple stage transition into an absolute nightmare, haha.
For the fluid sim I used a new technique for the fluid to avoid blocky, low-res results.
Normally I always use real-world scale for my scenes as it makes things like lighting and shadows look more correct, as well as just helping me to make sure that everything I model is always going to fit together correctly. However, fluid simulations can be difficult to work with when using smaller scales. So in this animation I scaled up the entire scene, baked the fluid, exported and re-imported the fluid bake as an alembic file, and then scaled everything back down again. This gave me enough resolution for a more realistic fluid stream, and I really love the way it looks.
I also did some post-processing work, such as adding particles, volumetric fog, and bloom, as well as making some color correction changes.
And though this animation took a lot longer than expected, I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Also, if you enjoy these animations, please consider subscribing. Every bit helps me continue doing what I'm doing, and as a patron you get access to rewards such as exclusive angles, the ability to vote on upcoming animations, and early access to animations.
That's all for now. Enjoy :D
