Ok, so where to begin with this image X3
As some of the ones close to me know, I love reading fantasy novels a lot, so naturally I do enjoy going over to Sofurry and reading stuff every now and then too X3. That's where I found a lovely story titled "The Dragon In The Dungeon” written by "CoyoteoftheWilds":https://www.furaffinity.net/user/coyoteofthewilds, and I was instantly hooked. I usually prefer to read m/m stuff, but the story and characters here are so compelling and fun to read, the story lovely and so sad at times, but certainly one of the best reads I've had!
I spent many hours alongside these lovely characters (and lost many hours of sleep in the process, but it was 100% worthwhile X3) and I got really inspired after reading every installment. Now I won’t go on too long or spoil anything, enough to say I really loved this ongoing series, and I wanted to give back something to the author somehow, sometime. A few years later (or a few months ago XD) I started talking and befriending a certain writer ("Cheetahs":https://www.furaffinity.net/user/cheetahs) and surprise surprise he was also a big fan of this series!
So after talking about it for a while, we decided to make a Christmas themed image as a gift to CoyoteoftheWilds, this time drawing his lovely dragon fursona being decorated by ours with some holiday items X3
