When I drew this "recent picture":https://e621.net/posts/6257992?q=ruaidri, I thought I was drawing something uncharacteristically sappy. Typically I'm kinda all about the 'gasms, but it was fun to get a chance to emphasize the kind and supportive aspects of Blue's character. Taking someone who clearly very much enjoys the feminization and dressing them up all nice and calling them a pretty girl and saying a bunch of other nice things, 'cause he knows it makes them feel good. I thought it was kinda sweet personally! And most of the comments appeared to agree, pretty much everyone seemed to think it was cute.

...except for one commenter who absolutely flipped their lid. I've since hidden their comment as I don't want people to go track them down and harass them, I don't want to accidentally send a bunch of negativity to them that's not the point, but I will quote it here for context - "lol how about stopping with using "girl" as your dirty sex word as beeing a girl is some kind of fetish for you. Why do you need to sexualize everything and make is litterarly a fetish in your eyes... disgusting."

And you know what, this is fair. As a man, I just don't know what it's like to have my gender sexualized in this way.

...clearly the only solution is for me to change that by giving it a try! I figured I'd give basically the exact same situation a shot, only with all the genders flipped. Y'know, walk a mile in their shoes and all that.

Personally I think it's kinda fun, I dunno lol.

The problem was, I didn't really have a character that it made sense for. I've got tons and tons of male characters that I dress up all girly, but all my female characters are pretty comfortable sticking with their gender norms. I guess I'm just more into girly stuff than masculine stuff, but I don't think that comes from fetishizing the mere concept of being a female... I think I'm just a straight guy that likes girly stuff *shrugs*

Either way, the idea of a female character who not just dressed and acted a lot more stereotypically male but also kinda got off on it a lil' bit seemed kinda unique and interesting. If we can set the shitposting aside for a second, it does seem a lot more rare... to the point where I'm not sure I've actually seen it before, actually? Plenty of masculine girls in general sure, but I'm not sure I've ever seen a female character kinda getting off on being... masculated? Efemminated? And I'm sure there's some social commentary in that someone much smarter than me can unpack, but for me that mostly just triggered an urge to make it into a thing because some people might find it kind of fun or neat and there doesn't seem to be much around.

I'll be the first to admit I struggled a bit at 'masculating' the character though. I think a lot of it will have to come through with personality and preferences rather than just looks, because in the modern day we don't really get "mens" clothes the same way we get "womens" clothes, you can slap a male character in panties and thigh-highs and some eyeshadow and boom, girlie-boy'd, but girls can pretty much wear anything a guy can and it seems perfectly normal. (A tuxedo maybe? But I don't really get "high society" vibes from her, so that seems a bit out of place...) It probably would have helped if I made her body less feminine too, but... look, even BFCT has a hip-to-waist ratio that would make Marilyn Monroe jealous, you can take my hippy boys and girls from me when you pry them from my cold, dead hands.

As for why a pine marten? You tell me, man. I started thinking about the character and my brain immediately went "Pine marten." and when I asked why it only responded further with "Pine marten.". So, that's what she is.

*sigh*

Anyway, look. None of this is to make light of the problems women face in our society, they are real and they are serious, and a lot of them do come directly from men. I just... I don't think a wolf putting his femboy date in a dress and calling him a pretty girl to make him feel good in the privacy of their own hotel room or whatever is one of them. I'm sorry, I just don't. So I made a tomboy pine marten about it, I guess.

I hope you like her!
