[i]Izta'ka is a priest of the sun, prosperity and fertility in his tribe in the middle of the jungle, and his name translates accordingly from his people's language. From the moment he hatched, he was taught the ways of his tribe. As he grew, the dynasty decided on his role, and would teach him his duties. Gradually, he was given new tattoos as a sign of passing the stages of trials. Upon reaching adulthood, he had to pass the final trial, during which he received special worship ritual from the entire tribe. Upon completion, he was given the role of priest and made a member of the nobility.[/i]
A rough reference for my dragon OC, which I started working on a long time ago and only recently finished. When creating it, I was inspired by the Aztecs (or at least their media image). It was originally red and purple, but I didn't like the color scheme because it blended together too much. I think it turned out more interesting this way.
