Another one with a fairly quick windup- I know how much you all love those, nobody has [i]ever[/i] complained about that... But hey I gotta work with the time I'm given. :P I tried my best to make the animation appear to be picking it up in the middle of the action at least- they just needed a quick breather before pushing to the finish, that's all...
Animating this mostly went okay, though working with wings is always truly awful and I hate it every time. Very pretty, very awful, hah.
Rendering also turned into quite the adventure, as it likes to do sometimes. For the last... 3-400 frames or so, blender decided to just entirely shit the bed. One of the fur systems on Kaytu decided to not render properly, for no reason I could discern. It was just rendering as entirely black. After fiddling with it for a bit, I managed to make it stop (no idea how, I didn't really change anything, I think just poking at stuff jostled something I guess...) but then it jumped to an entirely different fur system on an entirely different character, and suddenly Isaac's neck fur's normals were rendering incorrectly.
But the kicker that makes me blame blender and not myself is that, in test renders it was always just fine. And if I tried to render the animation, it was also always just fine- for [i]one frame.[/i] And then it would break. For it to work perfectly fine at all tells me I didn't have anything set up wrong, I think blender was just being a bitch. I had to go out of my way to set up a bash script to open up blender, render a single frame, close blender, and repeat for the next frame over and over until it was done just to finish out the animation.
But first I had to figure out how to write a bash script because I don't know anything about that. So that was a fun adventure, [i]thanks blender. [/i]
Anyway, my bitching aside... here's Raket getting a good glazing in the back room of bar- where all the real fun takes place! I like the concept, but I'm glad this one is done with 'cause making it was a real adventure, oi.
