I've had my fun playing around with the shiny new tablet toy, and also my computer was busy rendering at the time I started this anyway, so I decided to go back to watercolours for this one. A few of you have mentioned missing them a bit, so why not?
Well, maybe 'cause I'm quite rusty with them, hah. I was already quite rusted up before taking that long break to fiddle with digital stuff, said break certainly didn't help... but I've certainly done much worse as well. I think we did okay here, at least!
Coming up with a design for stocks in a pre-metal society was... interesting. Best I could come up with was a sort of torsion, tension lock thing. I don't know what they're actually called, but y'know that setup where you use mechanical advantage with a lever to twist up some stuff real tight, and then set the lever against a peg of some kind so it can't unwind? Yeah, that. It wouldn't prevent someone else from coming along and setting her free, but she at the very least shouldn't be able to get out of it herself. And I think most of the locals are pretty content to leave here there for a bit, so she's not going anywhere.
The legs are too small, I know, should have gone with much thicker legs for the stocks but I didn't want to block too much of the view, it was already a tricky one to get a good shot of.
