"I'll take that."
Often seen clad in a mix of deer leather and wolf pelts, carrying assorted trinkets from both sides of the warring tribes, foxes see the fighting as little more than an opportunity; picking through battlefields after the fact, or sneaking into nearly empty camps that have sent large numbers away on a raid, looking for anything useful or interesting to make their own. The two sides are often so distracted by each other that they don't even notice the smaller creatures, but they're always in the periphery keeping a close eye on any opportunity to get an easy score. So, while this snare trap was set up with the intent of catching dinner, this particular fox certainly wasn't going to complain when a careless wolf bumbled into it instead- an easy opportunity to add another new object to his collection, and another notch on his belt!
Patreon thing for May! The winning prompt this month: "Failed Hunt- A wolfgirl on the hunt ends up caught in a snare- and the male red fox that set it decides to try her out."
Player 3 enters the game! You better hope you're long gone by the time she works her way out of that snare, buster, 'cause she is -pissed-. But of course he will be, because the foxes are quick, clever, and stealthy, and she's got bigger things to worry about right now.
I figured if we were going to be adding a 3rd entire class of people to this world I might as well try to find a way to actually fit them into the story instead of just slapping them in an image and calling it a day, so that's what I came up with. Being smaller and weaker than either of the other two sides, they couldn't possibly hope to survive a fair fight in an encounter with either- and that's why they never fight fair!
(Well, uh, he was supposed to be smaller anyway. I seem to have a weird mental block when it comes to drawing small tops. This happens a lot. Just pretend for now and if this idea comes up again I'll try to do a better job making the fox smaller, lol)
